I am inspired most by honesty. My three favorite artists/ bands are Evanescence, Lifehouse and Sarah McLachlan. They write there own music and lyrics and it just reaches such a deep and honest level that's derived from pure emotions like pain, sorrow and euphoria. Most of my writings come from pain and the inner struggle that I was feeling at that time.

I really find that by listening to bands such as Lifehouse and Evanescence I can really tap into those feelings and just pour them out onto the page. Unfortunately I had to clean them up a bit to put them onto this site. My hope is to turn them into songs and in the interest of the song I had to be very careful with the wording and have a certain level of rhyming.

I am very close to assigning music to my lyircs. I just have a few more songs to write; just some things that I feel haven't been said yet. So there will be more coming out shortly. I feel I am getting better at my writing styles. I will go back and redo the earlier entries in time. But I started writing songs about 3 years ago and let me tell you, I am so much better now, than I was then. "Let it Go" and "Hollow" were among the first that I wrote. I guess I uploaded them onto DA to really show the progression. Sure, there are a few that I have written recently where I when I look at them and cringe. But I'll change them in due time. So far, my favorites include, "The Mirror", "Ridding Myself of You", "Brother to Brother", "Empty Space", "Fade Away" and my newest one "Not Good Enough". They really reflect me and my deepest emotions. Even if they don't mean anything to anyone else.

I hope that this journal entry has really shown my readers where my inspration comes from and how passionate I am about what I write. I am really looking foreward to the next step.
